CodeMonkey is excited to share the results of its international middle-school coding competition, which wrapped up with an intense and inspiring global final. The last round brought together two exceptionally talented teams of young coders: one from Tel Aviv, Israel, and the other from Arbor Hills Junior High in Ohio, USA. Despite being thousands of miles apart, the students connected through their passion for problem-solving, creativity, and the joy of turning ideas into code.
What started as a challenge inside CodeMonkey’s “Coding Adventure” course quickly grew into a worldwide event. Thousands of students participated, completing puzzles, improving their skills, and pushing themselves through each stage of the competition. Out of all those participants, only the top performers earned their spot in the finals.
A Global Finals Focused on Innovation, AI & Real Coding
The final phase of the competition was designed to stretch the students’ abilities and introduce them to concepts that are becoming essential in today’s tech landscape. Finalists used CodeMonkey’s core curriculum but also took on a new AI pose-detection course—built specifically for this event—which exposed them to fundamental ideas behind computer vision and machine learning.
In addition to AI, the competition incorporated programming approaches inspired by the “stack coding” principle. This gave students a taste of how modern developers structure code and build logical frameworks, offering a glimpse into real-world practices used by engineers and AI teams today.
For many participants, this was the first time they had ever worked with genuine coding languages or explored AI workflows. That experience—intimidating at first for some—ultimately highlighted what CodeMonkey strives for: to make computer science approachable, exciting, and meaningful for middle-school learners everywhere.

The success of this global competition is only the beginning. CodeMonkey plans to grow and broaden its international events, connecting students from even more countries and backgrounds.
