2020’s event will feature more than 50,000 school choice events across all 50 states
Every child deserves a great education. But all children are different. Where some students will be inspired by one type of school, other kids will thrive in a different environment. That’s why there are choices. When parents are taught about school choices, all the education options families have or want to have; traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private school choice, online learning, and homeschooling. So, every year, School Choice Week invites families to choose the K-12 educational options that best fit their children.
School choice week 2020 will take place starting Jan 24, 2020, through Feb 1, 2020. This week, families are invited to grab a warm cup of specialty coffee and munch on a pastry at an education-themed meet and greet with other families and legislators.
The event will take place at the Phoenix State Capitol Rose Garden at 1700 W. Washington St. Parents will have coffee + conversations on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. The “Coffee and Cocoa with Your State Legislators” event will give parents the opportunity to ask legislators questions, network with other parents, and discuss education options in Arizona.
“Parents will have the opportunity to discuss school success stories with legislators and invite them to see their schools in action,” said Barbara Duncan, vice president of Quality Schools. She continued, “Not to mention that the coffee and cocoa will be delicious.”
2020’s event will feature more than 50,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
Choose A School Arizona helps families to choose the best education for their children and helps quality schools tell their stories and find students. Choose A School performs this work through social media, strategic events, attending community events throughout the state, and one-on-one parent outreach.
