Her vision includes stronger mental health services, early intervention programs, and greater access to advanced courses and extracurriculars. She would also enhance teacher development, modernize facilities, and reform accountability standards to measure true progress. For Dr. Dixon, real transformation begins with recognizing every student’s unique story.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Purpose
Dr. Dixon’s vision for the future is centered on connection and growth. “Every student needs an adult, a program, or a space where they feel connected and a sense of belonging,” she says. As Superintendent, she plans to expand those opportunities so more students can discover their strengths and thrive.
She also looks forward to mentoring school leaders and helping them grow in their roles. Beyond her professional goals, Dr. Dixon treasures time with her adult children and remains deeply grateful to the Harrisburg community for the privilege of leading a district she truly believes in.

For Dr. Dixon, balance is not about perfection but presence. “I don’t believe there’s such a thing as a perfect work-life balance,” she says. “It’s about finding the balance that works for your life at any given time.” Surrounded by a supportive family who often joins her at school events, she strives to stay grounded amid the demands of leadership.
Outside of work, she values quiet moments with her husband, Eric, and their adult children, Payton and Trey. Together, they enjoy snow skiing, water skiing, and spending time at the lake, where they reconnect and recharge.
