Kelvinside Academy, a co-educational independent school and NuVu, Boston-based innovation school, has entered into a formal partnership to launch a full-time innovation school for young people. This new school is built to provide a unique learning environment designed around creativity, innovation and enterprise. It is also offerings a new national curriculum around digital skills and future learning opportunities. NuVu School not only provides a unique learning environment for Kelvinside Academy but also concentrate on solving real-world challenges with creativity, curiosity and independent learning opportunity.
The UK’s first of its kind school provides a portfolio-based assessment. Each student is provided with their own online profile on NuVu’s online platform where they document and present their work. The portfolio-based assessment helps in learning and valuation in students’ lives. This innovative model empowers children and frees them from the depressing constraints of assessment. The design, technical and meta-skills being developed and enhanced in the Innovation School together with an agile mindset.
Making a difference in the education sector
Nuvu is a full-time innovation school for middle and high school students. It is a classroom without teachers where students develop their creativity and experience hands-on real-world problem-solving assessments. Students gain knowledge by using 3D modelling software, 3D printers, laser cutters and a range of industry-standard tools. The partnership has been already performed with many companies like leading international infrastructure group Balfour Beatty
At NuVu, learners get hands-on problem solving, collaborative projects to develop creative solutions for real-world social and environmental problems.

Nuvu already launched summer schools with Kelvinside Academy in the UK in the years 2017 and 2018. But this new innovative school has firstly launched in the UK for giving a great learning experience for students. Nuvu provides a unique learning environment to local authorities and local schools in the UK and building corporate business. The flexibility in the environment allows students to create their own learning path.
