The event will encourage the welfare of animals
The Petco Foundation will host the event Lifesaving Awards on November 14 in San Diego, Calif. The event is organized to honor the people who are engaged in the savings lives of animals. This is the 20th annual event of the organization where animal lovers will come together to honor the efforts of heroes who dedicated their lives to the welfare of animals.
The event will be hosted by Emmy award-winning journalist Nancy O’Dell. The event will see the participation of top brands from the pet industry. They will acknowledge the contribution of seven organizations and individuals from different parts of the US.
Susanne Kogut, president of the Petco Foundation said, “The Petco Foundation’s Lifesaving Awards is a celebration of love that saves animals and represents our gratitude to animal welfare heroes who put their love into action every day.”
Several organizations won awards in different categories
She also said. “We are excited this year to celebrate our 20-year history of saving lives and recognize and honor the exemplary performance of these seven organizations and individuals whose dedication and commitment to solutions and achieving success creates a significant lifesaving impact.”
The winners of the 2019 Lifesaving Award include K9s for Warriors, who got the Helping Heroes Award for being the largest provider of service dogs to veterans who have suffered in the war and going through Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Angles of Assisi got Paul Jolly Compassion Award. Its aim is to change the perception of the animal shelter by giving its services that will surely be beneficial for society. The list of Awardee includes many more organizations and individuals who are doing a tremendous job for the community.
